Basic Chicken Caesar Salad


  • 1 garlic clove, crushed 
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard 
  • 2 tsp vinegar 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • lemon juice to season 
  • salt and pepper to season 
  • 1 chicken fillet 
  • 1 baby cos lettuce, washed and roughly chopped 
  • 1 boiled egg 
  • 1 tbsp parmesan 



  1. Add the garlic, dijon and vinegar to a food processor or blender, combine well 
  2. fold through the mayonnaise 
  3. slowly add the olive oil and fold through 
  4. season with lemon juice, salt and pepper 


  1. Cut into small strips 
  2. Preheat a frypan with oil on medium
  3. Cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown 


  1. Boil water in a pot 
  2. Add the egg
  3. Cook for 6 minutes
  4. Drain the water and rinse the egg under cold water
  5. Peel the shell of the egg 
  6. Slice the egg into quarters 


Add the lettuce to a place and top with the chicken, quartered egg, parmesan and dressing
