Chilli Garlic Brussel Sprouts and Bacon Pasta

 

Ingredients 

  • 4 garlic cloves, crushed 
  • 1 - 2 long chills, finely sliced (alternative chilli flakes) 
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 
  • 250g gluten free rindless bacon, cut into small dices 
  • 2 cups brussel sprouts, thinly sliced 
  • 1 lemon juice 
  • 320g gluten free pasta 
  • parmesan (optional) 

Method 

  1. Prepare all the ingredients, crush the garlic, slice the chilli, brussel sprouts and bacon 
  2. Preheat a large nonstick frypan with oil or butter
  3. Add the garlic, chilli, bacon and brussel sprouts, cook for 10- 15 minutes on medium heat until softened and very lightly browned 
  4. Meanwhile heat a large pot of water, bring to boil and add the pasta 
  5. Cook the pasta until soft 
  6. Drain the water from the pasta and add the brussel sprouts and bacon mix
  7. Season with lemon juice, salt and pepper
